FUT Minna Students Visit LASWA for Firsthand Exposure to Waterways Regulation
Students from the Department of Logistics and Transport Technology, School of Logistics and Innovation Technology, Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) as part of their academic field work.
The educational visit was designed to expose the students to practical insights into waterways regulatory processes, infrastructure operations, and best practices in transport system governance.
During the visit, the students were taken on a guided tour of the LASWA premises, where they explored various operational units and facilities. The tour provided a comprehensive overview of LASWA’s role in advancing water transportation and tourism development across Lagos State.
The engagement offered students an opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world practices and deepen their understanding of inland water transport regulation.
